What am I “Asking”?
I’m first asking you to listen to my Songs. Then I’d like to ask if you like them, which ones do you like, why do you like them, will you pay $19 CAD for this album, do you hear anything missing, can you help me ..? OK, I’m asking for lots of things. Sorry, this is going to take a few minutes to articulate. Please get the songs playing before reading on (click play above / buy and download / find on your streaming service like Apple Music or Spotify).
We learn early that asking for help is a key part to understanding something new. If I have this question, then I’m sure someone else will want to know the answer too. Now with the internet, we see how many people have the same questions … and with so many actively participating in forums, comments, and other content we are finding the answers to so much.
All because we are asking.
Asking the right question of the right person is the thing, right?
You never get what you don’t ask for ~ a double negative, so: you do get what you ask for. Ask and thou shall receive. Put your question out there to the universe and it will answer.
I needed to ask. I just had to put it out there. I hope you like it.
I’m sure Sting gets it, as he wrote in the Song “Message In A Bottle”:
Hundred billion castaways, looking for a home
I’ll send an S.O.S to the world
I’ll send an S.O.S to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle, yeah
Often, just the act of asking a question helps us see the answer.
In this case, I think I need some help. Do you have answers?
Do you have any questions?
