Headed on downtown for a drink or two.
I swear, baby, thats all I wanted to do.
But you have to understand there was this band…

Started playing those crazy rock’n blues.
I had my one drink, then it was two,
And then three … and a couple more
And I was out on the floor … dancing.

‘Cause I’m blues bound and I love that crazy sound.
When ever I hear it I can’t help but dance around.
The heat of the beat it goes straight to my feet.
I’m no longer weak – I don’t need no seat.
So look out baby ‘cause this is the sound I found…

Some say that blues is old and black.
To all of those I turn my back.
‘Cause blues is the gold of the soul
Of which no colour or age has a hold.

Guess you could sat that I’m it’s fool.
So unlike me to beg and drool.
Better strap my feet and cuff my hands.
I wanna play in the band.
