When the coldest bite of winter was four days old
Tarot dealt before me a tale yet untold.
On a bloodied cut of silk she laid it out;
There were stars and swords and banners which made me shout:

“There’s a lone jack here between four queens
now what the hell is that supposed to mean !?”

When his look hung deep within my eyes
she said,

“There are intricacies which I can not hide.
I see deceit as clever in disguise
and time will tell no man is truly wise.
When you come to see what before you lays
